Banking in South Africa is more expensive than in most countries worldwide. Start up businesses in South Africa have a real problem with obtaining service from the banks. The Banking sector is considered by many to be intolerable.
Telephone costs are also some of the most expensive worldwide, Many businesses complain that after their accommodation costs the next most expensive bill is communication. 90 % of the population do not have access to broadband because of cost.
