Soulaymane Kachani is a Morroco-born academic and businessman. Dr. Kachani is the Chief Strategy Advisor of the Strategic Capital Allocation Group, a multi-billion dollar investment management firm in Boston, and a professor at Columbia University.

Prior to joining Columbia, he served as an Associate and a Senior Associate in the Boston office of McKinsey. Dr. Kachani received a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2002. His research interests include dynamic pricing, transportation network, supply chain and inventory management.

Dr. Kachani also holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Applied Mathematics from École Centrale Paris.

Dr. Kachani has been honored with the Columbia Engineering School Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award for his dedication to teaching and devotion to mentoring students.
