Sopater (so'-pa-ter, sop'-a-ter (gr Σωπατρoς; Sopatros, "saviour of his father", Easton's reads "The father who saves", Holman's reads “sound parentage”) was the son of Pyrhus, may be:
- Sopater, New Testament figure
- Sopater (poet), author of at least 12 books of Eclogae" (Eclogues)
- Sopater of Apamea sophist of the 4th century who suffered death at Constantinople on a charge of binding the winds by magic, because the corn-ships of Egypt and Syria were delayed.
