Soo (曽於市 Soo-shi?) is a city located in Kagoshima, Japan.
The city was founded on July 1, 2005 from the merger of the towns of Osumi, Sueyoshi, and Takarabe.
As of 2005 population data, the city has an estimated population of 43,752 and a density of 112 persons per km². The total area is 390.39 km².
