[edit] Onyx Primal Clone

Although the tech spec for Sonar states she is a clone, it never states is a clone of anyone specifically. Only Primal? Optimus Primal? Noctorro? Soundwave? All Beast Wars bats. Could even be someone we never heard of. Stating it as fact on the page is misleading, since it's not official, just fan speculation. If it's a theory, state it as such. user:mathewignash

It could be looked at as either: Onyx Primal, the pre-Beast Wars bat version of Optimus Primal or both considering Onyx is sometimes also considered to be a clone of Optimus Primal. As the Hasbro bio says he's a clone that does make it fact. The other bats you mentioned also have other animal DNA (bull and alligator respectively) so we can safely remove them from the list. Second the Transmetal II line was filled with units from the first toyline (with some new ones too I grant you) Cybershark, Iguanus, Cheetor, Dinobot, Blackarachnia, Prowl, Spittor etc. Dinobot, Scarem, Sonar and Optimus Minor are all clones from toys in the first season line up. Does that help clear it up for you? --The Matrix Prime 17:36, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Prime Category

You are correct when you say that Sonar does not carry the title “Prime” in his name, user:mathewignash. But I didn’t create the category to list out just all the Primes. Its purpose was to list out any transformers with connections to the name Optimus Prime. That includes among others Hot Rod, Vector Prime, Nemesis Prime, Optimus Primal Onyx Primal, Optimus Minor and Sonar. Now I know you don’t like to think of Sonar as a clone but you have to agree that there is at least enough evidence to support putting him on that list at least as a probationary member. If you think the category’s purpose would be clearer, I have thought of changing its name to Primes/Primals. Opinion?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sonar-armada.jpg

Image:Sonar-armada.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
