Sonora Peak is a mountain located in the Central Sierra Nevada mountains of California north of Sonora Pass. The mountain, positioned on the Alpine-Mono County border, rises to an elevation of 11,459 ft (3,493 m), which is the county highpoint of Alpine County.[1] Due to the high elevation, most of the precipitation this mountain receives consists of snow.[2]
