Song Wencong (宋文骢, 1930 - ) is a Chinese aircraft designer, who is responsible for the development of the single seat version of the Chengdu J-10.

A Self Educated Genius, Song used to spend hours in his family house ( a 2 roomed hut ) pouring over aerospace books in Russian and Hebrew ( with the appropriate Mandarin dictionaries near by ).
