Sone Aluko (born February 19, 1989) is an English footballer currently playing for Birmingham City. Born in Birmingham and of Nigerian background, he is a forward and has been capped by England at all levels up to under-19. His older sister Eniola is also a footballer who plays for Chelsea and England.

Aluko made his first team debut for Birmingham City on August 28, 2007 as a late substitute in the Carling Cup tie against Hereford United.[1] He made his debut for the England U-19 squad on September 11, 2007 in a friendly against Belarus U-19 and was involved in two of the goals in a 4–0 win.[2]

On August 31, 2007 he joined SPL club Aberdeen on loan[3] until January 14, 2008. He made his home debut for the Dons against Falkirk on October 28, 2007 coming on as a substitute.[4] He scored his first goal for the club on November 3, 2007, opening the scoring in a 2–0 victory over Dundee United.[5] On expiry of the initial loan it was extended to keep Aluko at Aberdeen for the rest of the season.[6]. He scored his first goal in European competition on February 14, 2008, Aberdeen's second in the 2-2 UEFA Cup 'Round of 32' draw at home to FC Bayern Munich, a match where he also won the man of the match award[7].
