Sonic the Hedgehog (also called Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, or Sonic Next-Gen to differentiate it from similarly titled games) is a video game featuring Sonic for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 version was released on November 14, 2006, but the PlayStation 3 version had been delayed until January 30, 2007. It was developed by Sonic Team and directed by Shun Nakamura, and marks the 15th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic Rush Adventure is a Sonic the Hedgehog game for the Nintendo DS videogame handheld, developed by Dimps and Sonic Team, published by Sega. Sonic the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat return as playable characters, as well as a new female raccoon character named Marine the Raccoon. Sonic Rush Adventure is a direct sequel to Sonic Rush.
