[edit] Passive Voice

An interested editor needs to rewrite the fragment that begins with "It is widely believed..." since it is not easily verifiable as written. TheRingess 03:18, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Add disambiguation page and split off gang information into a new article?

Hi. This article appears to reference three entities:

  • a video game character
  • a group of vigilantes
  • a street gang

At this point, I believe that a disambiguation page may be warranted for this term. Additionally, because there is significant text in the article about the street gang, I also propose that the street gang information be moved to a new article. Does anyone else agree? --Takeel 13:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Yes, because there isn't even any break between the part about vigilantes and the asian street gang. Although I would vote just to scrap it because I can't find any reference anywhere else to this gangItalic text, perhaps it's entirely fictional? --librarianofages 15 March 06 (130306)

Since someone removed the street gang references, I have removed the split template I added to the article. --Takeel 18:01, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Foreign Affairs article

The first time I ever heard of Sombra Negra, I'm ashamed to say, was reading a Foreign Affairs article several months ago. From what I recall, the article didn't mention SM's involvment in the war at all, and said that SN was basically just a bunch of cops running a death squad. Reminded me a little bit of Los Pepes. Anyway, if anyone could track down that article, it'd be pretty good to use as a source. Apparantly SN actually screws up US-El Salvador relations because it complicates extradition, since the US can't extradite someone if it knows that person will be tortured and murdered. --Descendall 08:39, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Needs work

There are two things wrong with this article. First, it is POV, second, it is unreferenced. I know nothing about Sombra Negra, so I am not qualified to contribute, but it would be nice if someone with a more balanced perspective could add something.--Rhombus 03:40, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
