"Something's Gotta Give" is a popular song with words and music by Johnny Mercer in 1954.^[1]

The song was written by Johnny Mercer and published in 1955. It was written for and first performed by Fred Astaire in the musical film Daddy Long Legs (1955).

The biggest-selling version was recorded by The McGuire Sisters, making the charts in 1955. Sammy Davis, Jr. had a popular competing version out the same year.^{[citation needed]}
