First of all, thank you for your picture of a Lava Heron. I believe that it is the first one for Wikipedia. I noticed that you tried to add the image to the article. If you are trying to add a picture to the article, try using the [[Image:Koenigsgeier-08.jpg|left|thumb|Adult]] format, obviously replacing the image with yours name, left with right if you want it to be, and Adult with a description of the photo. Also, if the article does not currently have a photo, ala Lava Heron, the first is generally placed in the taxobox. When you edit the page, there is a place for the image in the code at the beginning. Place the name of the image without the word image and without any spaces after the .jpg after the =. It should appear.

Thank you for uploading Image:Blue-footed booby taking off Ecuador 2267b.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
