Correct Name is Solamish..Many sites saying Salamish which is wrong. I think someone made a mistake and rest followed good we corrected name. Some sites wrote Suleymish which is nearer to the name. The reason of this mistake made almost everywhere is that in Arabic the name سلامش consists of the letteres S L A M SH without the vowel O. In Arabic sometimes a short vowel called "Damah" which is an ( O ) replaces the letter O and it is placed above the letter. Seems the name Salamish was taken from a source that did not place the short vowel ( Damah ) O above the letter S. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Samsam22 (talkcontribs) 18:55, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

The real name of the sultan was Sülemish, which approximately means "who have sent an army", "army sending" in Old Turkic. Considering this, the spelling of Solamish is closer to the original name. --Chapultepec (talk) 21:51, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Sülemish also can go except the E must be A as it is the third letter in the arabic name. I think, as ü not really used in english, Solamish is colsest to the pronunciation in arabic. Samsam22 (talk) 22:42, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

No, no, Solamish is better. I just wanted to state that I also prefer the name Solamish rather than Salamish since it is much closer to the original spelling. This way is better. --Chapultepec (talk) 23:01, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
