Solomonic Polar Bear is Nine Miles' first studio album. The album can be considered very ambient in nature, as Manabe uses effects and reverbs heavily in order to create a surreal soundscape as a canvas for his words. Tracks like Division Three contain resonant, jazzy guitar work, not unlike those heard on the pillows' 1995 album Living Field.
