Soldier of Love

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Soldier of Love" was a hit record for Donny Osmond in 1988, which became his big comeback hit. Fearing that the record buying public were not going to buy a new Donny Osmond record, his label decided to release the single with no indication of who the artist was, and radio stations told the public that it was by a "mystery artist". After the song gained in popularity, it was finally announced that the track was by Donny Osmond, and the song reintroduced him to a new generation of record buyers, who helped send the song to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]

Songwriters are Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.
