Solucar Energía, S.A., commonly referred to as simply Solúcar, is an Abengoa subsidiary. The activity of Solúcar focuses on the design, promotion, financing attainment, construction and operation of electric energy generating plants that use the sun as their primary energy source.

Solúcar owns Europe's first commercially operating solar power plant, the PS10 solar power tower, in Sanlúcar la Mayor, Spain. A field of 600 mirrors, soon to be extended, focuses sunlight and generates 11 megawatts of electricity on a solar power tower.[1]
