From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This concept, which parallels the concept of soft energy paths, is an important point of discussion in water policy today. It has been discussed in several peer-reviewed scientific papers (including in the top tier journals Science and Nature -- references are in the article). It has been developed in part by Dr. Peter Gleick (a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and a MacArthur Foundation "genius" fellow) and by Dr. David Brooks of Canada.
