Talk:Social policy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ŢŰI am currently in the process of producing a handout on social and regional policies in the EU for my A2 Economics course but am getting stuck on what exactly they are and need plenty of information about them and views of how they effect EU member nations. This site is the most helpful I have found, and I would be very grateful if anyone with a wide knowledge of this area would respond. Thankyou. x
I came here, trying to see if a Charles Murray quote was relevant:
- Good social policy can be based on premises that have nothing to do with scientific truth. The premise that is supposed to undergird all of our social policy, the founders’ assertion of an unalienable right to liberty, is not a falsifiable hypothesis. But specific policies based on premises that conflict with scientific truths about human beings tend not to work. Often they do harm. [1]
Should this go in the article, somewhere else, or what? Elabro 17:41, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
This article needs some reference to Richard Titmuss! Sarahjeantaylor 22:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dieing before you are 62
If you die before your 62 do you still get the money from social security? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.245.155.37 (talk) 18:33, 3 March 2007 (UTC).
