I just removed the 'unsourced statements' part from the 'Multiple issues tag' as there where no citation needed tags. I will remove the other tags as well if they are not substantiated. It is ok to slap an 'original research' and 'pov' tag on an article, but it is not ok to do so without making a statement on the talk page, saying what's wrong. Asav (talk) 20:59, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm removing the remaining tags as well. I've seen no justification for them on the talk page, and the article itself does not seem to warrant them. Asav (talk) 07:20, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Structure

The structure of this article does not cover social issues in more detail. I propose to list per theme each separate issue that as a whole, will express an idea and a full description of the social issues of the country. We can start with education, health, crime, women, indigenous peoples, etc.

I've added education section to the article. I propose to add the following sections that will embrace more aspects of social issues of Brazil:

• Health
• Women
• Racial inequalities
• Indigenous peoples
• The Landless people

I propose to create another section talking about Health. There, we should hilight the structure of the SUS, the problem o public versus private health and hoe they compete against each other, then we should move to the problems such as queues, lack of doctors for basic care services, less comfort and amenities than private hospitals. Lastly, we should list the government initiatives to improve health services such as the the generic medicine program, strike against HIV, expansion of the health system, the CMPF tax, and so on... --Mhsb (talk) 05:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
