[edit] Han tu
The Nom Foundation gives 朔庄, while the Chinese Wikipedia gives 蓄臻. The fact that Sóc Trăng was originally a Khmer word, "Srok Kh'leang," means that 朔庄 was likely an approximation of this place name, used in government documents before the switch to quoc ngu.
