Society of Free Armenia is a national Armenian organization to establish an Armenian state. It was initially began as a group of Armenian intellectuals, later, in 1909, turned into a party to organize and coordinate the national feelings of the Armenians toward their statehood. During the World War I they were very active. They also organized a very short lived state around 1915-16 in Western Armenia.
