It is a type of brief therapy. SIA - Social Interaction Approach; the client is in charge of the therapy session as the counselor acts as a mediator. Arose out of socio-communicative functions Children cue their parents to supply appropriate language experiences Needed for language advancement
Children & Language environment are dynamic Both require the other Provides efficient social communication at any point in development Provides improvement in the child’s linguistic skills
