Talk:Sobering-up station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The information that sobering-up station was invented in 1951 in Czech Republic is untrue.
The first center for a drunk people was opened in Russian Empire 7 Nov 1902 in Tula. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D1%8B%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C
- It is not a center for drunk people it is a special kind of facility holding drunken people for one night only. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 09:48, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

- Exactly: Russian "Vytrezvytel" (sobering-up station) was the place where the durnk people were gathered to stay overnight and become more sober. The first station in SU was opened 20 (!) years before "invention" in Czech Republic. Could not find any peer reviewed source in English for 1902, though, but plenty sources in Russian exist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.244.221.1 (talk) 01:20, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
