[edit] Revert on hiking/climbing, September 5

I reverted the recent edits to the hiking/climbing section for the following reasons. (1) The style and tone were inappropriate for an encyclopedia article. (2) The danger of the route was overemphasized: the fact that there is scree and some rockfall danger is already in the article, and compared to many other fourteeners (especially the other Elks) the danger is not particularly great. (Yes, I have climbed the peak in late summer. The scree is not especially enjoyable, but it is not a deathtrap.) -- Spireguy 16:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
