Sneezewood (Ptaeroxylon obliquum) is a tree in the family Rutaceae, the citrus family. Native to southern and tropical Africa, it is a valuable timber tree used particularly for fencing and building. Being very hard it is also used for machine bearing and is said to be more durable than brass or steel.
