"Smoky Mountain Rain" is a song made famous by country music singer Ronnie Milsap. Originally released in 1980, the song became one of his best-known songs.

His 16th No. 1 hit on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart in December 1980, "Smoky Mountain Rain" also fared well as a crossover hit, becoming his first of two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Singles chart. The song also fared modestly well at Top 40 radio stations, as the song reached No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
