Smeego is a web-based automated news publishing and content management system based on PHP and MySQL. The system is fully controlled using a web-based user interface.
It requires a web server which supports the PHP extension (such as the Apache HTTP Server), as well as an SQL database (such as MySQL, mSQL, PostgreSQL, ODBC, ADABAS, Sybase or InterBase).

Smeego is a minor fork of PHP-Nuke and therefore has all the known, unfixed security issues that goes with it. Francisco Burzi, the author of PHP-Nuke sold PHP-Nuke and started Smeego, a fork of PHP-Nuke.
