[edit] Uniqueness of image

As (a) there exists only two original Rhythmicons and (b) neither has been performed publicly since the 1930s, no free image could be now created depicting the instrument. The only two other publicly available photographs of the instrument prominently feature another music theorist--Joseph Schillinger--and do not show Cowell: inappropriate for an article on Cowell. As described on the main image page, the photograph has been widely disseminated for years and no evident claim of copyright has ever been made on it. It is thus not only unique and unsubstitutable, it appears to be free.—DCGeist 18:12, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I did some cursory research and, yes, that certainly appears to be the case. Marking {{Rk}} and closing - Alison 00:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
