[edit] Who dat?

Slugabed has been a slightly active Wikipedian since March 15, 2006. He edits slowly and sporadically, sometimes being a bit of a lurker.

Jacob Shemkovitz was born on September 10, 1984 in Connecticut. He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in June of 2006, majoring in graphic design. In March 2007, he moved to Northampton, Massachusetts where he now works in the design department of a local independent copy shop.

Jacob is a sponge for comics, music and film, and is interested in the utility of genre (for example, neorealism's role in recovering Italy's shattered studio system after WWII, or superhero comics as escapist literature).

At some point, Jacob may contribute self-made graphics and/or photography to Wikipedia.

[edit] Comics

  • Silver Age Superman Family and its creative teams need expansion:
    • Made a page for John Rosenberger, though it's still a stub
      • Slowly making a more detailed article (see sandbox)
    • Curt Swan deserves a longer page
    • E. Nelson Bridwell seems interesting: he was one of the first wave of comics-fans-turned-comics-creators, and was something like an official Superman Family historian.
  • Interested in expanding Paul Pope
    • Originated 100% article
    • May apply similar treatment to The One Trick Rip-Off
  • Origin story has been pointed out as needing work

[edit] Maps

Jacob has designed several maps for publication in travel and political books; He intends to look into their copyright status and contribute where they might be useful.
