Slaughter of the Soul is a 1995 album by Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates re-released in 2002 with bonus tracks. It is considered a genre classic by many fans, and was largely responsible (along with The Jester Race by In Flames and The Gallery by Dark Tranquillity) for establishing the Gothenburg scene. Recently, the title track was featured in the official soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.

The song "Blinded by Fear" is currently available in a thrash metal downloadable content pack for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Rock Band.
