The Slate-blue Seedeater (Amaurospiza relicta) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae or Cardinalidae. It was formerly placed with the American sparrows in the Emberizidae. It is endemic to Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
