I know of two more definitions of a skyhook:

in technical climbing it is a very small hook which attaches to smallest protrusions. it is attached to the harness and allows the climber to rest. (google image search, I am unaware whether the device is manufactured by other brands as well)
in skateboarding, two skyhooks (external link) can be attached to the topside of the board to facilitate jumping and enhance stability during a ride, very useful on freebords for example. (it is a term used across brands, not a single brand name itself)
