[edit] Help request
Way back when I made the {{battletech universe}} I had found a page in wikipedia where I could search for the template; I can no longer find either the search page or the template's edit page. Also, again when I made that infobox, I could not figure out how to make the "v - d - e" links in the upper right corner (as you can see on {{mechwarrior}}; where is the template search page, and how do I add those "v - d - e" links?Skiltao 18:30, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- The template you're referring to is {{BattleTech Universe}}--capitalization matters. The other is {{MechWarrior series}}. the v-d-e links seem to be there because it is using {{CVG Navigation}} as a base. Perhaps you can inherit from that. I'm no template wizard, so I am not really sure how to help you with that. --Sopoforic 18:50, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) The template you created is {{BattleTech Universe}} (when you want to mention a template, rather than using it, write {{tl|name of template}} so that it isn't inserted in the page). One way to find templates is to enter a search term in the search box, click on 'Search', then scroll to the bottom of the screen and change the 'Search in' boxes to Template rather than (main), and clicking on Search at the box there. As for the 'v - d - e', you can insert them into a template by typing
{{Tnavbar|{{subst:PAGENAME}}|mini=1}} at an appropriate place in the code. Hope that helps. --ais523 18:52, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey there
I've noticed that you are active in the BattleTech articles here at Wikipedia. I've started a proposal for a Battletech Wikiproject. If you are interested please check out my proposal at the Battletech main article's talk page. Thanks alot. NeoFreak 05:37, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
