Talk:Skin disease
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If no one objects, I'm going to remove "acute lymphangitis" from this list. Research indicates that it is a disease of the lymph glands, rather than of the skin. Even though red streaks appear on the skin, it doesn't seem to be an actual dermatological disorder. If this will be a problem, let me know here, or on my Talk page. Joyous 21:05, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)
I don't know much about medical terms, so I can't tell if genetic diseases are in here already, but should things such as albinism be added to this page? I don't mean to offend, but it does affect the skin and does give medical problems. 24.19.163.245 15:49, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to recommend adding another medical image site to the external links (http://www.visualdxhealth.com). This site includes images of all skin types and various severities of conditions. I think it might help with understanding or identifying some of the conditions listed on the page. 208.3.217.201 (talk) 18:19, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
I second the idea of adding the visualdxhealth visual database to this page. The medical images would seem to be appropriate and augment the text content. Since the above comment has been there for 2 weeks without any objection, I'm going to wait a couple of days and then go ahead and add this link if nobody objects. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.193.122 (talk) 02:49, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- With the greatest respect, I'd like to point out there is at least one conflict of interest because the other editor, User:208.3.217.201, who also recommended the website, seems to work for Logical Images Inc. which operates the website. Do you work for them too? - Neparis (talk) 03:41, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
