Skinner (profession)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Skinner is a person who skins sections of animals or whole animals, such as cattle, sheep, and pigs, to prepare them for cooking. However, historically the term, as surname, referred to those engaged in the trade of skins and furs. The word "skinner" may also refer to a "mule skinner" in slang vernacular language, or a worker (usually farm worker) who drives mules.
