Skimmia laureola is species of shrub grown as ornamental plants. The leaves are edible when cooked. The leaves give an aromic small when crushed. It produce white flowers which fruit into small round red berries. The berries are eaten by birds whic disperse the seeds through their droppings. They are also use to make Bonsai. They range from North China to the Northern Himayalas. They are grown in Vitnam.
