[edit] Baseball diamonds
I wouldn't say you're totally clueless, because I personally call them baseball diamonds myself. Although, they aren't actual baseball diamonds (infield grass, pitchers mound, etc). Since many people call them "diamonds", I went with "field", and since Skydome technically also has a baseball field downtown, I threw in "recreational use". I think that is a tad vague, but I couldn't think of another way to describe its distinction. Of course it's debatable whether Christe/Trinity-Bellwoods is "downtown", but if I didn't add them, someone would've, and technically, they are used by downtown residents. Another factor is that U of T's baseball team uses the field, and they are downtown. I know it's a significant claim, but I thought nothing of sourcing, because it's verifiable with a google search, if you know what to look for. This is your typical neighbourhood baseball/softball diamond for sandlot games. This is a baseball field that baseball teams play on. So what do you propose should be done? Personally, I think the wording is faulty, but can't think of anything better. --Pwnage8 (talk) 04:25, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I have now removed the reference to baseball fields altogether. I think it reads much better this way, because no one will get confused. --Pwnage8 (talk) 18:07, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Melbourne
I was trying to do a history merge to catch some old edits at Melbourne, Victoria, and it looks like we had a move conflict, causing all the article revisions to be deleted for a couple minutes. Not to worry though ... the history is all where it should be now. Graham87 12:32, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] LAC
Hi there, I've noticed you upload a lot of Library and Archives Canada images so I thought I would bring this to your attention. It appears that all non-PD photos from LAC are not copyrighted free use, as they have been tagged with on Commons, but rather are unlicensed for use without LAC permission. See commons:Village Pump#Library and Archives Canada. I am working on a list of post-1949 images at commons:User:Padraic/LAC which I will be using to nominate for deletion. --Padraic 14:19, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- No problem - see commons:commons:Deletion requests/Library and Archives Canada non-PD images. --Padraic 15:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WP Montreal
Thanks for joining up! My guess as to why there is no such a project is because of the limited English-speakers Montreal has compared to other cities. However, when I saw there was a WP Prescott-Russell and no WP Montreal, I thought it had to be created. Oh, and if you see anything else you'd like to change, please feel free to edit it. Wiki is all about the contribution of its users after all. Cheers. MTLskyline (talk) 01:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
