I was born in Richmond, VA in 1978 and moved to Sherrills Ford, NC in 1981. I graduated from Bandys High School (1996) and received BS degrees in electrical and computer engineering from North Carolina State University (2000), followed by an MS (2003) in electrical engineering and PhD (2007) in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I am married with three children and live in Tennessee. God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ, died on a cross to atone for my sins, and loves me.
