Sjedu is the popular name of a geographic area in Norway, and a colloquialism.
The place Sjedu is a small area located in the county of Gloppen in Norway. The southside of Gloppefjorden stretching from Arnestad to Sande is known as "Sørstranda" (Southbeach) for outsiders, but among its inhabitants is more commonly referred to as Sjedu. The place Sjedu is not very famous, but local inhabitants take pride in the beautiful nature and an abundance of fish and wildlife.
The term Sjedu became famous because of an inhabitant's habit of using the colloquialism Sjedu as an ending to almost every sentence he spoke. Sjedu as a colloquialism translates to "You see".
