[edit] Employee Treatment
I would just like to comment on the content of this article, specifically the portion about employee treatment. The article is based mainly on rumor and hearsay, and I for one would like to see a source. I've been a season pass holder for two years to SFNE, and the vast majority of employees I've spoken to at SFNE enjoy their jobs and like working there. This was the first I ever heard of any such employee mistreatment at SFNE. There were the mechanics who went on strike last February, but that was for more pay and benefits, not due to mistreatment from management.
- You're right, that paragraph needs a source. I've removed it for now.. if someone wants to rewrite it with sources and without the opinion, feel free. Rhobite 05:14, July 11, 2005 (UTC)

- I don't know the paragraph, but I DO know people who used to work there that were highly disgruntled by their treatment there. 207.159.176.253 (talk) 14:59, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Rides Section
Should the rides section be removed? It was horribly written and have unconfirmed information in the section as well.
I rewrote it.
- I recently made a major overhaul to the section, it is not the most well written section so please add to it if you could Spidlock 20:47, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
six flags new england is an AWESOME park pandemonium is very very nice!
I was on the wooden rollercoaster Big Dip as late as about 1968 to 1970 I rode it with my father. I know that I was on it at least a couple of years before Epcot center was opened. We used to go to a lot of places like that. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.17.116.58 (talk) 03:27, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Opinions
The shows and entertainment section contains opinions that seem to violate Neutral Point Of View.
[edit] 20 Acres?
Is this park really only 20 acres? That seems a bit small for a major amusement park.
[edit] FlashPass
This section isn't well written in my opinion- I don't understand it. I would rewrite it myself...but I don't understand it!
[edit] Overall Page
There are several typograpchical errors on this page. Needs major work. Also much content is outdated as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Getoffmycloudrs (talk • contribs) 13:36, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Riverside Park Speedway
Hello Friends I would like to comment on the “Park " speedway. As far as short tracks go, in my opinion it was a great facility that was closed not because the track had problems but just that Six Flags had no idea what to do with a race track. They could not figure out how, all by itself, a large contingent of workers and drivers just showed up on their own, ran the 4-5 hr event cleaned up and automatically came back next week with out any Six Flags personal needing to help.
The track ran open wheel mods and full fender Pro stock and Late model stockcars and a truck division that was patterned after the NASCAR Craftsman’s Truck series. In it’s later years the Park was like an extension of the Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford CT a 1 / 2 mile short track, as a lot of the drivers and staff work and raced at both tracks. The most unique was the Figure 8 Division that ran for track points and the same cars returned next week to race. They ran the event as the last race of the night and as most race fans will attest was an action filled contest with not very many fans leaving for the parking lots after the Mod race.
The racing and the amusement park combination on Saturday nights filled the park with families that enjoyed both the rides and racing. It was a very unique combination as you could ride the rides during the day and go to the races at night. Sitting in the grandstands at the Park speedway was a very carnival like atmosphere as in-between races the sights and sounds for the roller coaster and the freefall were just a quick turn of your head as they operated in back of you. I have yet to duplicate that experience.
But alas racing came to an abrupt end in 1999 as in the middle of the season on a race night in the pit area after the drivers could not get in to the points race at another track they told them this is the last season. They knew in February of that year that they were closing the track to make way for the new rollercoaster. We should have known that the end was near. They closed the back gate to the track and forced patrons to walk about 3 / 4 of a mile to the front entrance and just made it hard to access the track and treated customers like cattle. I still miss the racing as Park developed many drivers that went on to Bush/ Nextel cup series and some that are have gone on to the Modified Tour and still race today.
To this day I have never step foot in SFNE as a lot of others. They could have relocated the track to another part of the property. With the popularity of NASCAR they, I think really missed the boat. SF is complaining that they don’t draw the family crowd. The track drew 3- 5 thousand persons every Saturday night with the majority being couples and family members of the race teams that spent money on food, rides and games. What’s more family than racing? The track was paid for and operated for 51 years, didn’t cost 10s of millions of dollars to build and people didn’t get tired of watching or riding on it. People after a while get bored with riding a rollercoaster but they never get tired of watching racing. If anyone would like to copy and post on a different site feel free to do so. 72.192.18.15 (talk) 22:40, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Steve B.
