Six seconds

Six Seconds is a not-for-profit organization that provides emotional intelligence research, training, and tools. The organization has published numerous books and training programs, and hosts the international NexusEQ Conference Series and the online forum called the EQ Alliance.
The organization has an extensive network of certified associates around the world, providing training, coaching, and education programs in every sector. Many work in impoverished areas or with underprivileged populations including those facing addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and other adversities [1].
Founded in 1997 as a California Corporation chaired by Karen McCown (author of Self-Science and founder of The Nueva School). Six Seconds works with schools, corporations, government agencies, and practitioners.
The Advisory Board includes Peter Salovey, Robert K Cooper, and Candace Pert.
Six Seconds is based in San Mateo, California, with offices in Singapore, Italy, Australia, China, and France. The President is Dr Anabel Jensen, and Director of Programs is Joshua Freedman.
