Siu yeh (Chinese: 宵夜) is the name associated with a late night meal in Hong Kong or other Cantonese-speaking regions. Siu yeh is equivalent to supper in certain parts of the English-speaking world. This meal usually comes around 10 p.m. after dinner. It can range anywhere from a snack to a full-fledged course. The term siu means "overnight" and yi means "night." For people working late night shifts, the name is also associated with their post-midnight meals.
