Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy

Bishop John England founded the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in 1829. As the congregation grew and moved into the states of Georgia and North Carolina, shortly after doing so changing its name in 1949 to the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy. The congregation lives by the rule of St. Vincent de Paul [1]
