From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sir Patrick Johnstone Ford, 1st Baronet (5 March 1880 – 28 September 1945)[1] was a Scottish Unionist Party politician.
Ford was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Edinburgh North on his first attempt, at a by-election in 1920.[2] He was re-elected in 1922 general election, but was defeated in 1923 by the Liberal Party candidate Peter Raffan. He regained the seat at the 1924 general election, and held it until he stepped down at the 1935 general election.[2]
Ford was made a baronet in 1929, of Westerdunes, East Lothian.[1]
