The Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year is a football award which is presented to the best Manchester United F.C. player of the season as voted for by the fans.
The trophy, which is presented at the end of each season, is a statue of the former Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby, who led the club to 5 league titles and a European Cup as well as rebuilding the club after the Munich air disaster. Although the Sir Matt Busby trophy was only first presented in 1996, the award was previously known as the MUFC Members Player of the Year and the Manchester United Supporters Club Player of the Year.
