From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan (SMP, Army of Muhammad, Pakistan) is a Shia militant group operating in Pakistan. The group is described as a splinter-cell of Tehrik-e-Jafaria Pakistan, created by Mureed Abbas Yazdani in 1993.[1]
The SMP was banned by the Pakistani government in 2001. [2]
Its primary rival is the Sunni militant organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
