MK013...Sinisa grew up in Borovo Naselje and started in NK Borovo pioneers in 1982-1984 then juniors 1984-86 then seniors 1986-88 (even he played as 15 year old in senior team of NK Borovo but was not under senior contract) then he went to FK Vojvodina.

„Do sedmog razreda sam bio među najnižim dečacima u razredu, ali je za mene bilo rezervisano mesto u praktično svim školskim sportskim reprezentacijama. Prvo priznanje dobio sam pozivom na pripreme pionirske selekcije Slavonije i Baranje, gde od svih pozvanih jedini ja nisam trenirao fudbal. Po povratku, na predlog profesora fizičkog vaspitanja Zvonka Hercega, učlanio sam se u lokalni klub „Borovo”.
U mojim pionirskim danima vladao je rivalitet s većim klubovima, a za nas iz „Borova” poseban izazov bio je kad smo igrali s „Osijekom”, koji je predvodio Davor Šuker, ili „Dinamom” iz Zagreba, s već razvikanima Zvonimirom Bobanom i Robertom Prosinečkim.
Kad sam napunio 15 godina, kao veliki talenat koji je prevazišao vršnjake, sve češće sam igrao u prvom timu „Borova”. Zvanično sam prvi put igrao sa 17 godina, 25. maja 1986, protiv „Šparte” iz Belog Manastira. Gubili smo 1:0, ali je završeno 1:1 zahvaljujući mom golu.
