[edit] Maroon beret

Is the Singaporean Red Beret distinct from the British Maroon? If you are knowledgable, please consider adding to the maroon beret article. Ng.j 15:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Apart from a slight difference in shade, they are prety much the same and are similiarly given to those who pass parachute training.
On a separate point, their insignia seems to be very similiar to the Special Air Service insignia, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of joint operations with the UK, when there would seem to be some evidence of it.--Shakujo 07:59, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
