The Sinupret Ice Tigers are a member of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). They play their home games at Nuremberg Arena, in Nuremberg, Germany. The team was founded in 1980 as EHC 80 Nürnberg, renamed Nürnberg Ice Tigers in 1995/96. Starting with the 2005-06 season, the team was again renamed to Sinupret Ice Tigers. Named after a product of team sponsor Bionorica AG, the company purchased the naming rights for a ten year agreement.
