Sinky spin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sinky Spin is used in the games of rugby union and league, whereby the ball-carrying attacking player performs a 360 degree spin away from the tackler. The spinning motion disorientates the defender and changes the angle of run, increasing the chances of evading the tackle. The Sinky Spin was made famous by Fraser Sinclair, and is regularly used by the game's top players, including Jonny Wilkinson of England and Rory Lamont of Scotland.
